Welcome to Bristol Hops Collective. As we survive purely on donations and sales of hops and merch, your support is greatly appreciated.
To pre-order your hop plant and become a part of the collective, fill out the form below and a team member
will be in touch with how to pay.
Kits are £ each, with additional rhizomes priced at £ each.
If you already grow hops and would like to get involved we ask for a small donation of £10. Please get intouch via
the contact form with your details and the varieties of hops you already grow.
** Dont forget to place your order and pay by the 10th of March as otherwise, we cannot guarantee you a plant. **
Once your order is placed, Bristol Hops Collective will acquire your plant and the growing kit.
The rhizomes are usually delivered to us around the beginning of March.
We will then arrange for you to collect your plant and kit.
Kits include mulch, twine and a hop peg. Hop plants perform best if planted directly in the soil, but dwarfing varieties can successfully be grown in large pots.
As a bining plant, they will need a structure to grow up.
Our HopsWiki is packed full of tips on growing your hop plant. We also have an active
Facebook group where seasoned growers can offer help and advice.
Additional rhizomes can be purchsed on there own without the the need for buying a complete kit.
Remember, hops are hardy herbaceous perennials, so once you have planted the rhizome, it should grow back each year. Once established they will need minimal care.
The hops collective team and our community of growers will be on call during the growing season for advice if needed. We will also liaise with a local brewery
and arrange social events in autumn for a weigh-in and a drink-up to launch the new beer. The beer is supplied to pubs and shops around Bristol so if you are
lucky you can order a pint at your local. It will also be available in cans to enjoy at home.
All proceeds get reinvested into the Bristol Hops Collective to allow us to achieve our aims of reaching out to as many people in the community
as possible and supporting local charities.
